Do I need to bring my own picking containers? Yes. We encourage you to bring your own picking containers. Once you arrive your container will be weighed prior to entering the field so that you are not charged for the weight of your container. Since we charge by the pound, you only pay for what you pick.
What are the best types of containers to bring along? The best types of containers for strawberry picking are buckets, quart boxes, dish pans, and more. Whatever you wish to bring from home that is not too deep as your berries might get squashed. For blueberries, we highly recommend a bucket, especially one with a handle. Bring along a string, lanyard or belt as well. This way you can loop the bucket around your neck or waist and use two hands to pick. It speeds the process and you won’t drop any on the ground. Bring a container for all pickers in your party as well. Everyone should be entering the field with a container to pick into. :)
Can I purchase a container at the farm? Yes. We offer 5-quart souvenir picking buckets for $2.50 each. Once purchased the bucket is then yours. The bucket can be brought back for future use.
Are we allowed to eat the fruit while picking? Yes. We first recommend that all fruit is washed prior to eating so that it is free from dirt. Tasting a few pieces while in the field is just fine but we do kindly ask that you refrain from grazing. Please remember that farming is our livelihood.
Do you offer restrooms? Yes. Portable toilets and hand washing stations are available.
Are pets of any kind permitted? No. For the safety of your pet, for our customers, and to adhere to the national food safety regulations we ask that you leave your pet at home. If you do arrive at the farm with your pet, it must remain in your car at all times.
Do you allow service animals? Yes. We do allow service animals that are properly vested, trained, and restrained. Please let one of our family members know when you arrive so that we may assist.
May I smoke or vape while on the premises? No. There is no smoking or vaping permitted anywhere on the premises. If you must smoke or vape we ask that you do so inside of your vehicle only.
What forms of payment do you accept? We prefer cash, check, and Farmers Market Nutrition Program Checks (FMNP). We also accept debit or credit cards. We apologize in advance but there will be a 3.5% service charge added to your total when using a debit or credit card.
Is professional photography allowed? No. We do not allow professional photography or photo shoots of any nature on our farm.
Am I permitted to take pictures? Yes. We absolutely encourage you to capture those special memories created while visiting our farm with your phone or personal camera.
